What Enterprise Intelligence Group does

Explore EIG’s retail and CPG consulting services, from assortment and planning to vendor selection, data integration, programme delivery and AI transformation.

Enterprise Intelligence Group is a consulting partner for retailers, CPG businesses and distributors. We help teams clarify business requirements, improve planning and commercial processes, evaluate technology and support delivery, adoption and value realization.

You do not need to be buying software or starting an AI programme to work with us.

Improve commercial and planning decisions

Our business consulting covers:

The starting point is a defined business question—not an assumption that every problem requires a new system.

Make technology investment decisions with clearer evidence

Vendor and technology selection starts before the RFP or RFI. EIG can help document business and technical requirements, facilitate stakeholder workshops, define evaluation criteria, assess vendor responses and support shortlisting.

A useful evaluation connects proposed capabilities to actual workflows, data requirements and delivery constraints. It also makes gaps, assumptions and trade-offs visible before expenditure.

Connect systems and make data usable

Retail data and integration consulting covers systems analysis, data harmonization, mapping and business validation. This includes supplier onboarding and EDI-related requirements where those flows affect retail operations.

The engagement can define what information must move, how fields and units should be interpreted, who owns exceptions and how acceptance will be tested. Analysis and requirements work do not automatically include building connectors or operating a managed integration service; those boundaries are agreed explicitly.

Coordinate delivery and review the value achieved

Implementation and programme delivery brings governance, dependencies, risks, testing, adoption and benefits into one delivery conversation.

EIG can work alongside internal teams, software vendors and implementation partners. Responsibilities and deliverables are defined for the engagement, including the evidence needed for executive decisions and the ownership of benefits after go-live.

Apply AI where it supports the objective

AI transformation and agent performance remains a specialist practice. It includes evaluating opportunities, readiness, governance and the coordination of AI-supported decisions.

Generative AI and Agentic AI should be assessed against the business objective, data readiness and operational controls. They are options within a wider modernization approach, not the default answer to every consulting requirement.

How an engagement starts

We first clarify your situation, the decision you need to make and the output that would be useful. We then agree scope, inputs, responsibilities, delivery arrangements and commercial terms before paid work begins.

Depending on the need, the starting engagement may be a requirements and vendor-selection review, a planning performance review, a systems and data integration analysis, or a modernization review. Onsite and remote sessions can be combined where appropriate.

You receive the outputs agreed in that scope. Any follow-on implementation or advisory work is a separate decision—not an assumed commitment.
